CA$H Theatre grant recipient opens this weekend.

We are excited to share that CA$H Theatre grant recipient Are You There, Luigi? It’s Me, Margaret has its first performance this weekend! The CA$H Theatre Grant Program — short for Creative Assistance for the Small (Organization) and Hungry (Artist) — provides vital financial support to individual theatre artists and small theatre companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1999, these grants support a range of creative projects artists and companies need, from capacity-building projects to fully-produced public performances. Join us in the audience this weekend and keep an eye out for other CA$H Theatre supported shows in the coming months!

Lemonade Night: Lost in Yonkers at Center Rep

Support theatre makers in need through a night out at the theatre! At both the April 3 and April 4 performances of “Lost in Yonkers”, there will be the opportunity to support and learn more about the TBA Mary Mason Memorial Lemonade Fund.

To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the opening of Lesher Center for the Arts, Center REP is proud to present the 35th anniversary revival production of Neil Simon’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning heartfelt comedy.

Hailed as “Simon’s most affecting works” (The New York Times), this multi-award-winning memory play transports us to a small apartment above a candy store in Yonkers, NY in 1942. Financially strapped and needing to dig his family out of medical debt, Eddie must leave his two teen boys to live with his sister and mother while he takes to the road as a salesman. A strange new world opens up to the boys as they must navigate their estranged mafia-linked Uncle Louie and authoritarian Grandma Kurnitz (and her odious mustard soup) while befriending their neurodiverse Aunt Bella, whose love and determination buoys the family against the headwinds of transformation.
