Welcome to CA$H

A program of Theatre Bay Area, in partnership with Dancers’ Group.

Check out this video celebrating 10 years of CA$H, created by Erin Gilley:

If you would like to support CA$H and Theatre Bay Area's other programs, please consider a tax-deductible donation.

CA$H is a grants program designed by artists for artists to support professionally oriented theatre and dance artists and small companies with budgets under $100,000. Its purpose is to spark a creative surge throughout Northern California's theatre and dance community by providing grants to artists ($2,000) and small-sized organizations ($4,000). Funding decisions are made by a rotating five-member panel.

Funded by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund/Grants for the Arts.

Please note: In 2010 Theatre Bay Area completed an extensive evaluation of the CA$H program. The application available here reflects changes mandated by the community and has changed slightly since the last round of funding. Please review this new application carefully. Also note that effective fall 2010 due to declined funding our award amounts have been reduced.

The fall deadlines for 2010 are:

Theatre: September 7, 2010

Dance: September 27, 2010

Come to a workshop and hear more about the program. You can also be trained to be a peer panelist for this or future panels!
