The following are the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle nominations and winners for outstanding performance in 2003. Award winners are in boldface. Award certificates are mailed by the Circle to the presenting theatre company. Please note: Theatre Bay Area is in no way affiliated with the SF Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle. The Paine Knickerbocker Award. Named for the former theatre critic of the S.F. Chronicle, the award is presented to a person or organization (not an actor, director, or staff member of a theatre company) who has made a continuing contribution to Bay Area theatre. A.C.T. Young Conservatory (theater training for young people aged 8 to 19)
The Barbara Bladen Porter Award is
a cash incentive award presented to an active, mid-career member of
the theatre community.
