Vigorous conversations around cultural equity and casting are echoing in rehearsal rooms and swirling online. On September 19, Theatre Bay Area hosts a forum that promises to be both enlightening and provocative. Starting at 7:00PM at Bay Area Children's Theatre's Osher Studio, 2055 Center Street, in downtown Berkeley, a diverse panel of theatre artists made up of actors, directors, playwrights, casting directors -- and an attorney versed in employment and entertainment law unpack the complexities of equity, artistic license and legal parameters in approaching casting choices. Come to better understand the evolving thinking and join the conversation!

This community forum launches Theatre Bay Area's new Cultural Leadership program, supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
