Sci-fi fandom and cosplay are satirized in Patience, a fully staged and orchestrated entertainment including lyrics and costumes inspired by multiple incarnations of Star Trek and Doctor Who. Bunthorne (cosplaying as Spock), is worshipped by all the young ladies cosplay dressing to gain his attention, yet he holds an unrequited love for Patience. A rival Doctor Who fan, Grosvenor (cosplaying as the 11th Doctor), falls in love with her, too, so who will ultimately win her heart—the Trekkie or the Whovian?
