Playwright: Tennessee Williams
Director: Samuel Hunter
Tennessee Williams’ memory play focuses on the complexity of family and the difficulty of accepting reality. Faded Southern belle Amanda Wingfield scrapes by with her adult children in a cramped St. Louis apartment. She yearns to find a “gentleman caller” for her shy, anxious daughter, Laura, and enlists son Tom for help. Tom’s recollection of what follows will explore lingering memories that both haunt and comfort.RSVP: firstname.lastname@example.org
