Theatre Bay Area Seeks Membership and Regranting Associate by / Theatre Bay Area Staff

Theatre Bay Area, one of the country’s largest regional arts service organizations, seeks a detail-oriented, personable and informed individual to serve as membership and regranting associate. This position assists the director of field services in all of our granting programs, as well as in performing membership support duties. This entry level position will be a 28 hours/week position, $12/hr.

Membership Support Duties:

This position is the primary administrative support for Theatre Bay Area membership. Specific duties include:
•  Front desk: answering questions, cash handling, credit card transactions
•  Answering phones/provide customer service to members
•  Maintenance of databases (membership)
•  Provide clerical assistance (filing, data entry, mailings, etc.)
•  Email/send membership packets to members
•  Maintain stock of TBA publications and process orders
•  Event support (some evenings and weekends, scheduled well in advance of event)

Regranting Support Duties:

This position is the primary administrative support for Theatre Bay Area regranting programs. Specific duties include:
•  Schedule and handle logistics for application workshops
•  Assist in the securing of panelists/panelist care
•  Process applications, prepare them for (and process) delivery to panel.
•  Panel meeting logistics
•  Communication with applicants re: results of the granting process
•  As appropriate, attend panel sessions and assist in granting process (four weekends a year)
•  As appropriate, attend application training workshops

General Office Support Duties:

The position assists other departments (executive director, development) 2-4 hours/week with general office support.

Skills:

•  Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
•  Excellent oral and written communication skills
•  Basic knowledge of clerical procedures and standard office practices
•  Working knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel and database software)
•  Ability to interact with a variety of people in a courteous and professional manner
•  Some knowledge of theatre, theatre administration and fundraising helpful.  

Salary

$12/hr.
