Writer-director Mark Jackson counts among his specialties an emphasis on highly stylized movement and theatricality as well as transformative reimaginings of classic works, and all that comes to the fore in his latest work with the theatre program of his alma mater, San Francisco State University. Collectively devised with the cast, the choreographic theatre piece Juliet features six women and one man all playing variations of the love-struck, doomed ingénue of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
