Along with our many in-house programs and services, Theatre Bay Area has some partnerships with local and national initiatives that we'd like to make sure you know about. We participate in these partnerships in order to bring the latest and best tools and trends to our membership.
Project Audience
Project Audience is a national collaboration of service organizations and arts councils focused on developing technologies to help community-level organizations become centers for information and interactions about cultural activities among audience members, artists and arts organizations. By developing technologies and leading national conversations on best practices for audience development in the arts, Project Audience will build awareness and demand and, at the community level, increase participation in the arts.
Bay Area Cultural Asset Map
The Bay Area Cultural Asset Map, or BACAM, is web-based mapping program commissioned by the Hewlett Foundation from the national service organization Fractured Atlas. The mapping program, powered by various data sources including national census information, space directories and the Bay Area Big List of audience attendance information, will provide a comprehensive visual research tool for the community, perfect for better understanding your audience and reach, advocating for your organization, or proving your value to funders, government officials and patrons.
California Theatre Network
The California Theatre Network is a loose association of performing arts service organizations across the state who have banded together in order to promote and advance the theatre arts in California. With member organizations stretching from San Diego to San Francisco, the CTN hopes to encourage more theatre participation throughout the state, and to provide research and advocacy tools to make sure that local, state and national legislators know the importance of theatre and all the arts to millions of Californians.
